Before I shared my story with others, I spent a year trying to prove it didn’t happen. I questioned the paramedics, doctors, family members, and friends present during and after the auto collision and hospital stay, but their answers only further proved to me that my experiences might be real. Once I read St. Teresa of Avila’s account of her encounters with the Holy Spirit in the 1500’s, I realized that I truly did have an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
This story is big and I could speak about it for hours. For me, the book is a good tool to use to convey parts of the experiences that sometimes get missed in a live retelling. I encourage people to watch a video of one of my talks, or better yet to hear it live, and then to read the book to gain a little more detail.
